Mary Yorke is an Irish artist based in Dublin. In 1996 she completed a Visual Education course and in 1997 she returned to full time education. In 2000 she got a Diploma in Fine Art from Dunlaoire Institute for Art Design and Technology.
Mary's work was accepted for the Oireachtas exhibition and Eigse Art Festival in 2003. Since then she has had a number of solo exhibitions, her first was in 2003 at the Bourne Vincent Gallery in the University of Limerick. Her paintings have been acquired by the University of Limerick private businesses and collectors.
In 2006 November Mary's new body of work was shown in the Blood Transfusion Services Board Headquarters where she was their inaugural emerging artist.
For the past 3 years, Mary has spent a lot of time travelling some of China's biggest cities, attending as well as participating in some truly breath-taking exhbitions. While soaking in the diverse culture of the east, her visits have also proven to be very inspirational and is very much reflected in some of her lastest work.
